Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Karta Polaka Practice mobile application ("the App") and the website at gettingkartapolaka.online ("the Site"), operated by Guy Luz ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App or Site, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App or Site. If you are using the App on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are the minor's parent or legal guardian and accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. Unofficial, independent study aid

The App is an independent, unofficial companion for Karta Polaka interview preparation. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or representing the Polish government, any consulate, embassy, or other official body.

For official information about the Karta Polaka program, always refer to the Polish government website: gov.pl — Karta Polaka.

3. No guarantee of outcome

The App is designed to help you prepare by covering topics that, to our knowledge, are commonly relevant to the Karta Polaka interview. We cannot guarantee:

  • the exact questions you will be asked;
  • any particular result of your application or interview;
  • that the App covers 100% of every possible topic a consul may raise.

The interview is conducted in Polish. Knowing your answers in Polish is strongly advised.

4. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for your personal, non-commercial study purposes on devices you own or control.

You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, or create derivative works from the App or its content except as expressly permitted by applicable law.

5. Accounts and eligibility

The App may be used without creating an account. If optional account or sync features are introduced in the future, additional terms may apply. You agree to provide accurate information when contacting us for support.

6. Content and intellectual property

All App content, branding, text, graphics, logos, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. "Karta Polaka Practice" and associated branding are our trademarks in the context of this App.

Polish national symbols and historical facts are used for educational purposes. References to public figures, institutions, and official symbols do not imply endorsement.

7. User conduct

You agree not to:

  • use the App for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to interfere with the App's operation or security;
  • scrape, bulk-export, or redistribute App content without permission;
  • misrepresent the App as an official government product.

8. Updates and changes

We may update the App, Site, content, or these Terms at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Third-party services

The App may link to third-party websites or services (including app stores and gov.pl). We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Your use of Google Play, the Apple App Store, or external sites is subject to their respective terms.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP AND SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate at all times.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR SITE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD $10 IF YOU USE THE FREE VERSION.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

14. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
